What this service is
The site is a public board. Material you send us is intended to be shown to other visitors. If you do not want something to appear in public, do not submit it.
Photos
When you upload a photo, you ask us to store it and make it available on the site. We may also keep working copies for as long as we need them to run the service.

We do not guarantee that a photo will be anonymous, complete, or free of identifying information, and we do not promise any particular form of editing.
Photos on the site may be viewed, copied, or redistributed by others. We are not responsible for how third parties use material once it is public.
Rights in your photos
By submitting a photo (and any accompanying text), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use that material for our purposes. That includes advertising, marketing, publicity, and other promotional or commercial uses, in any media, as well as related uses of a similar kind.
The licence allows us to store, copy, edit, crop, adapt, combine, and display the material, and to permit others we work with to do the same for those purposes. You are not owed any payment or credit. You confirm that you have the right to grant this licence.
Other information you give us
Alongside a photo you may provide a headline, a place, notes, a name or nickname, and comments. We treat that as content for publication and for operating the site, on the same general basis as photos.
We may also hold limited technical information created by your use of the site (for example, the sort of data needed to keep pages working, to count a vote, to remember a name you typed in a form, or to look into abuse or faults). We use cookies or similar tools where that helps the service run.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide the board you asked to use, to display submissions, to keep the site in working order, to deal with complaints, security issues, or legal requests, and to advertise, market, and otherwise promote the service and related activity. Where data protection law applies, we rely on the lawful bases that fit those purposes, including that you have provided the material for publication and licensed it to us, and that we have a legitimate interest in operating and promoting a public site.
Who else may see it
Public content is available to anyone who can reach the site. We may also use other organisations to host, store, transmit, or help us process information, and to produce or place advertising or other promotional material, including providers who may handle data outside the United Kingdom. We may disclose information if we believe we are required to do so by law, or to protect the site and other people.

We keep submissions and related records for as long as they are needed for the service, or for a longer period where we have a reason to retain them (for example, security, disputes, or legal obligation). We may remove or alter content without notice.
Your responsibilities
You must only submit material you are entitled to share, and only where doing so is lawful. Do not upload photos of children. You are responsible for the content of your submissions.
Your rights
Depending on where you are and how the law applies, you may have rights in relation to personal data, including to ask for access, correction, or deletion, or to object to certain use. Those rights are not always absolute, especially where information has been published at your request or where we must keep a record. If we cannot identify you from what we hold, we may be unable to fulfil a request.
You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
